- A study conducted by the Harvard Graduate School of Education regarding the importance of Career and Technical Education for today’s students.
To ensure a dynamic workforce by fully developing every student's career and academic potential.
To prepare Arizona students for workplace success and continuous learning.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) Career Preparation programs offer a sequence of courses to students in grades 9-12, that prepares them for a direction to higher education and a career path.
The programs are supervised by the Career and Technical Education Unit of the Arizona Department of Education. A significant component of the program's evaluation CTE students' performance on the AIMS (Arizona's Instrument to Measure Standards
) test; therefore, academics are a critical piece of the curriculum.
At the end of the sequence of courses students take an industry-certified assessment to determine success in the program.
